Late-onset pulmonary complications among survivors of Coronavirus Disease 2019

Objectives: To assess the late-onset pulmonary complications among survivors of coronavirus disease 2019.
 Methods: The cross-sectional analytical study was conducted in department Pulmonology, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore between October 2020 and March 2021. Total 288 patients visiting hospital 12-week after recovery from COVID-19 enrolled using convenience sampling. After excluding (n=61) with a history previous respiratory symptoms before development COVID-19, data 227 subjected to final analysis. Chest X-ray (CXR) used evaluate lung condition.
 Results: Participation middle-aged adults (54.6%) higher than older (38.3%) young (7.0%). percentage males 55.5% smokers 29.1%. Dyspnea most common complication as 80.0% had moderate severe dyspnea while chronic cough 78.0% fibrosis (LF) 13.2%. chances LF increased rise age (p-value 0.033). However, distribution similar females. frequency 3-time non-smokers (24.2 vs. 8.7%; p-value 0.003). were more dependent on O2 compared without < 0.001). tachycardia significantly different (all p-values 0.05).
 Conclusion: is associated old age, smoking, dependency, tachycardia, dyspnea.
